Many people have turned to “binding tape” and “tucking tape” as cost effective ways of binding and tucking. We advise caution when applying adhesives and tape to the body as overuse and unsafe removal techniques can easily result in abrasions and damage to the skin. However, when used and removed according to the manufacturers’ instructions, these tapes can be a great option for anyone looking for an alternative binders and gaffs.
Made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex, chest binding tape is totally waterproof and sweat-proof to make it ideal for all-day wear, swimming and more! The acrylic-based adhesive on the sticky side is advertised as "hypoallergenic", but the makers advise doing a simple 24h spot test before applying larger sections of the tape.
This binding tape measures 198" long by 4" high and is great for folks with bigger chests. Trans tape can be used for binding or tucking and users should take care to cover nipples/urethral opening before applying the tape. Tape should only be removed once saturated with oil to prevent abrasion.
i like this tape and i'll use it over a binder. i'm a bigger person, sometimes it can pretty frustrating to get the placement in the right spot every time and having to scrap a large piece can bring anxiety about waste / going through the roll too fast. i think i might opt for the large 5" roll over the 4" roll and see where that gets me
a little itchy but i have sensitive skin, easy to remove and works well for the price :)
I used to wear compression binders only but tape was such a game changer for me. It was really nice being able to have no compression but still get the bind I was looking for personally. Stayed on for multiple days too which was great. It does take practice and you have to be careful with removing but for the time I was binding before surgery it was great.
I wore it for 6 days straight, sleeping and showering, and it did not budge. Edges rolled a little over time, but just needed a little trim. I was so flat and comfortable I didn't want to take it off!
But I think I must have taken it off wrong, I was too hasty and accidentally ripped off a bit of skin. Make sure to use LOTS of oil and take it off carefully, don't pull if you feel resistance.
